Collection of Woodshavings & Sawdust
Our custom-built vacuum collection vehicles quickly and efficiently remove material from customers' premises with the minimum of fuss. We ensure that material is directed away from landfill and is recycled within the agricultural trade. Once we have removed the woodwaste, we’ll issue a waste transfer note and provide a weight ticket to ensure traceability.
Supply of Woodshavings & Sawdust
Most of the collected material is selected, mixed where appropriate and then delivered to dairy farms for use within cubicle sheds to keep animals clean & dry. The bedding can recycled again as slurry, thus helping its environmental impact by having further use as fertilizer or biofuel.
Biomass: Removal & Recovery
We work with a number of leading biomass suppliers, heating companies, country estates and private individuals to offer a removal and recovery service for woodchip, woodpellet and other similar fuels. We offer a tailored service for a wide variety of customers throughout the UK.
We provide a professional Wood Shavings and Sawdust Supply and Removal Service.
Our custom built lorries quickly and efficiently remove waste from clients’ premises and deliver measured volumes of material to our agricultural clients by drawing from our selected stocks at base.

About Us
Since 1984 Woodflakes of Daventy has been offering a unique mobile vacuum collection and bulk supply service to a wide variety of businesses throughout the UK.
Our custom-built vehicles collect and deliver a variety of materials, from sawdust & wood shavings to woodchips woodpellets and other suitable loose dry goods.
Our core activity is in the collection of woodshavings and sawdust from joinery and wood machining companies.
However, over time we have developed our services and also offer a specialist removal service for the biomass industry.
Joinery & Manufacturing
Our vacuum collection vehicles quickly remove woodshavings & sawdust from stores and containers, making the hassle in handling this type of material just a phone call or email away. Existing storage areas or containers can be emptied or new ones provided depending on the customers’ requirements. Working in partnership with trusted providers, current extraction systems can be improved or altered to accommodate more effective handling solutions. This is particularly useful when moving from a bagging system to container storage facility.
If you produce various volumes of waste, have difficulty in storing material and have restricted access or space, our service might be the answer. We are service lead and like to solve issues for clients, so we are happy to talk, whatever your issue is. We can attend as often as once a month or as little as once a year.
Bedding For Agriculture
We have a long list of satisfied dairy farmers who we supply with our material. We select our stocks of sawdust & shavings and supply the customer material that is best suited to their requirements.
Deliveries are made on our rigid walking floor lorries, so loads can be delivered into barns and smaller yards or stores. Customers are not left with huge bulky deliveries that take extra time putting away afterwards.
Biomass
We have developed our vehicles to offer an efficient removal service for the biomass industry. This is especially useful when there has been a breakdown within the boiler feed system or fuel has been damaged or mis-delivered.
Wood fuel suppliers, boiler maintenance companies, local authorities, educational establishments, large estates and private individuals have benefitted from our services. We can quickly remove volumes of woodchip or wood-pellets from a variety of locations often removing fuel over a considerable distance.
We have successfully completed hundreds of extractions from a wide variety of sites. We can remove G50 G30 woodchip as well as wood-pellets and other dry mixed materials. This can be taken away, left on site or disposed of as required. Our on-board weighing systems can accurately measure collected material and can print the weight for the customer.
